RIBBON STORAGE SOLUTIONS FROM THE KITCHEN

When the holiday season draws near, I’m always on the watch for clever ideas that make things - well, easier. I use tons of ribbon year round, but organizing the colors you are using during a season just makes sense.

Love the paper towel holder idea and a straw dispenser keeps spools of ribbon tangle-free and at your fingertips. Great eye candy on your craft table and another way to re-purpose something you might already have.

You can find similar paper towel holders and a straw dispenser at www.organize.com.

FALL TABLE INSPIRATION

I am completely inspired and enamored by this fall table setting. I love the apple cider in the large glass jars, the fresh apples accents and the mixture of metal and wheat. The only think I would add are some mason drinking jars.

How cute and yummy do handled mugs look filled with hot apple cider and cinnamon sugar around the rim?

I’m adding personalized drinking jars to my collection for this holiday season. I use my ball and mason jars for signature drinks all the time, so I know I will use them for Halloween, Thanksgiving and Christmas. I sometimes add colored stripe straws to fit the color scheme and they also double for flowers jars and candle holders.

I found a yummy looking recipe for Mulled Apple Cider with Brandy at fitSugar. It looks a little cloudy and thick, which is just what I like. I also love the floating apple wedge garnish.

ORGANIZE YOUR WORK WARDROBE

White House Black Market unveiled a genius “Work Kit” campaign this year featuring Canadian supermodel Coco Rocha tap dancing in over a dozen affordable ready-for- office wardrobe options. I was kind of hoping they might call me, but she is uber cute and can tap dance to the tunes way better than I can.

If your looking to take the career prize or the big office, WHBM Work Wardrobe Kit has all the basics to kick off what could take years to build in your closet.

To organize the basics of your work wardrobe and what it takes to dress for the job, shown here are a few solutions to keep it simple and you, organized.

Slim Non-Slip Hangers are the answer to saving space in any closet. Slim Hanger Accessory Clips turn a basic dress/shirt hanger to hang pants and skirts in a jiff and eliminates the need to buy multiple type hangers. What I love about Drop Front Shoe Boxes, is that they are heavier and stackable. Shelf Dividers keep purses and handbags organized and folded clothes stacked neatly. There are oodles of options to organize your jewelry, but a 6-Compartment Jewelry Organizer is one of the many customizable options that stack inside a drawer. Of course, I had to include a Scarf and Belt Holder. The one shown is affordable and hangs right on the closet rod.

Remember, no matter what you are organizing, simple is the new black.

Happy Weekend!
